Common Device Troubleshooting

My AED is beeping or showing a red indicator light. What should I do?

A red light or recurring beep usually indicates a self-test failure due to low battery or expired pads. Please contact our support staff to assist you with running a device check and replacing the pads and/or battery.

How often should I replace my AED battery and pads?

AED pads expiration varies by model, usually 2 to 5 years and must be replaced after use or expiration. Battery life varies by model, usually 4 to 7 years in standby mode. We recommend using our Asset Tracking Solutions to track these dates automatically.

What is the procedure after an AED is used?

After use, the device data should be downloaded (we can assist with this), and the used pads and battery (if depleted) must be replaced immediately. Treating physician or your Medical Director may require a report. Contact us for assistance with your download and replacement of pads.
